Two-column report needs info across the page header width

I have a two-column report of contact information. I want the page header
section to display information across the width of the page, over the two
columns. How can I do this?

Use the File - Page Setup - Columns menu item to specify the
number of columns. To get the report/Page header/footer
sections to span the page, uncheck the Same as Detail check
box and specify the column width manually.
