two-input data table

I have seen in one textbook, that the two cells referred to in a two-input
variable table are empty. How is that possible?

We aren't there, and may not have read the book you're reading. Are you
quite certain that the textbook refers to Microsoft Access, the relational
database product? I don't recall running across the phrase "two-input
variable table" before...

Excel has something called a two-input table. I would imagine that's what
she has in mind.
