Two monitors; two views?

Assume you have a video card with two outputs (say, VGA & DVI),
and XP is configured to use both of them. Will PPT2003 recognize
the presence of two outputs and let you send the SlideShow view
to one of the monitors and the Notes View from the same .ppt file
to the other output/monitor?
Is there a tips file that already explains how?
This would be extremely helpful in doing a multi-day presentation
with a very large .ppt file containing literally several hundred slides,
many of which have speakers notes as well.

PowerPoint does offer some good multiple monitor support. I have never used
the notes view on the primary display, but have used the slide sorter and
slide edit mode quite often. I am working outside my office so I do not have
a multiple monitor setup at the moment to test view options, but my guess is
it should be no problem provided you have the proper hardware to support
extended or spanned desktop.

Here is a good reference for multiple monitor 'how-to's' on the OS side of
things:

Troy,

Many thanks for your response and particularly the good reference link to -
www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/. I will definitely be following up on some of
that info. One of the add ins looks like it will do much more than what I
need at this time. I'm also glad that the page also included info on
hardware add-ins for laptops.

All I really need for now, is to see two views, Normal/slide show view and
Notes view of one big .ppt file, simultaneously, on separate monitors. If
Powerpoint can't do that natively, maybe some third party add-in can.

Looking forward to more info....
