Two Office versions parallel

I

IT Admin

hi, has anyone experience in running two Office versions under one Windows?

For example one Office Prof. Enterprise 2003 French and one Office Standard
2003 MUI (later for Italian).

The advantage will be using Enterprise applications (in French) and having
Word both in French and Italian.

Will that run under WXP or is it only possible with two different Windows
versions?

Thanks in advance

Frank

Hi Frank,

If you're using the Enterprise edition of Office 2003 with
the MultiUser Interface and language disks loaded you'd
be able to switch between French and Italian menus. The
MUI packs are only available with Enterprise licensed editions.

Having a localised version of Office together with the MUI
Enterprise edition would seem, from your description, to
be adding additional complexity. Localized versions of
Office can use the same program file names but with different
content and can cause problems if you install together on
a single boot partition.

If you only need to add the proofing tools for a given language
for a non-enterprise edition you can do that by purchasing the
Office 2003 Proofing Tools Kit.

Thanks Bob,

the licenses are localized Enterprise and Standard MUI. I feared that this
wouldn't work under one Windows installation.
So I will use an old PC for the second license, but this will take some time
(which I tried to avoid ...).
