two open windows

How can I have two open windows in excel so I can go back and forth without
closing one of them?

Window>New Window. Arrange to suit.

You can have two workbooks side by each or two worksheets or two views of the
same sheet etc.

NOTE: you can have as many windows open as you want. Tends to get a bit
crowded after 3 or 4.
