Two Text Slide Masters

I have two text slide masters, one with a cream
background and one with a white background. I want to
allow people to insert new slides and choose whether it
will be cream or white - but how can I make it do this?

The only option I have (in Slide Design Templates) let's
me make ALL of the slides in the presentation cream. It
think it should really appear in the "Slide layouts" but
it doesn't.

Any ideas very gratefully received and will stop me going
mad!

Stuart,

It sound slide you need multiple masters, which became available in 2002.
these allow different template masters in a presentation. What version of
PowerPoint do you have?
