Two-Way Calendar Sharing

T

Terry

I have been able to share a calendar in project server to outlook.
Unfortunately the calendar in Outlook is read-only. Is there a way to share
this information between Outlook and Project Server in a two-way fashion? We
want people to be able to update the calendar using either outlook or project.

thanks

The integration between Project Server and Outlook works like this:

1. Team members can export their Project Server tasks to their Outlook
calendar as appointments
2. Team members can update those tasks (appointments) in Outlook and
transmit the updates to Project Server

If you want to do this in a more automated way, or to show Project Server
tasks as Outlook tasks instead of calendar appointments, then refer to
Allocatus product at the following URL:

http://www.allocatus.com/Home/en/Default.aspx

Also, there is no way for team members to enter nonworking time, such as
vacation and sick leave, on their Outlook calendar and then update the
nonworking time to their personal calendars in Project Server. Hope this
helps.
