Two Word Problems

Scott

Q1.

Using Word 2003 off my Student Office pack. I will get
down about half a page, then word will just freeze on me
and I have to restart the computer, and lose all the work
I have been doing. I am using XP home. Why is it doing
this? And how do I stop it?

Q2.

At work Word 2002 is conflicting with Abode Acrobat 4
(the writer, not the reader) and I keep getting two
meesages appear everytime I try and load a document up.
They are really starting to annoy me. How do I get rid of
them? Without upgrading Adobe Acrobat?

Hi, Scott. As to Q1, disable "Check spelling as you type" and "Check grammar as you type" in Tools | Options | Spelling & Grammar. If this fixes the problem, then the cause could be a damaged dictionary or grammar file. If the problem persists, then turn off "Replace text as you type" in Tools | AutoCorrect Options | AutoCorrect. If this fixes the problem, then the cause could be a damaged autocorrect file. If the problem persists, then turn off "Show AutoComplete suggestions" in Tools | AutoCorrect Options | AutoText. If this fixes the problem, then the cause could be a damaged normal.dot template. As to Q2, do you expect us to guess what the secret error messages are?
