How do I unfreeze the type? It has recently stopped working. I can still
click with the mouse, but typing will not work, and just about everything
else is locked up.

Have you purchased your Office software? (It is often provided as a try-out
version with new computers, but it must be purchased after a set amount of
time, normally 30 days).

If you have purchased it, have you activated Office (Help menu. I think...)?
