I am trying to use word for some documents and need to be able to type "x
numbers "at" a certain measurement" ie (4 @ 2.5mm.) and not have word think
it is a hyperlink.

How do I get word to just see it as text and not a hyperlink?

Hello there,

Word has an AutoFormat turned on that changes your text
to hyperlinks. It's the same one that does the ordinals.

Go to Tools + AutoCorrect + AutoFormat as you Type tab.
Uncheck the "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks".

That will mean that you will have to add hyperlinks using
Ctrl + K but better than having hyperlinks all over!

Hope this helps

G'Day Divot,

In Word:
Tools>AutoCorrect Options...
AutoFormatAsYouType (tab)
Internet and network paths with hyperlinks (item)
- UNCHECK the box
OK

Hi Judith;

Thanks for the info. I just made the change and my rerport looks like I
want it to look. I noticed another tab "autoformat as you type" and it also
has a box to uncheck.

Thaks again

Jim
