This may sound crazy, but I created a document for my husband and now need to
type in info on the lines/headings I created. How do I do this without
erasing the ones I created to begin with. When I type in the new info, the
lines erase or move over/down. can you help?

Change your typing mode from insert to overtype.
If you are not using Word 2007, press the Insert key on your keyboard to
toggle between modes.
If your are using Word 2007, Open Word. First check to see if the Insert
key will toggle modes between insert and overtype. If the Insert key does
not toggle, goto Office Icon, Word Options, Advanced section. In the Advance
section, Editing Options look down the list for "Use the Insert key to
control overtype mode" and check the box. You can than use the keyboard
Insert key as above.
