(Un-)Maximized Word Window (2003 Pro)

(I would have done a search for this problem first, but
the search function generated an error...)

I'm having a problem with Word in Office Pro 2003. For
some odd reason, when Word is maximized, the top of the
window (Title Bar) appears at about where the bottom of
the menu bar is in other applications in the background,
and the window runs below the bottom of the LCD screen,
behind the Windows taskbar. I'm running Windows XP Pro,
keep the Taskbar locked, have installed all Office and
Windows updates, and run my LCD monitor (laptop) at
1400x1050 resolution. I do not experience this problem
with any of the other Office programs or any other
program on my computer, and I do not recall this having
happened when I had Office XP installed. I can move the
window further up after being restored; it isn't hitting
a barrier or anything. I'd really like to have this
bizarre problem solved. There may be a hidden setting
that I'm missing, but after browsing the Knowledge Base,
I haven't found it. Thanks for any help you can offer.
