Unable to access Microsoft Office Project Portfolio Analyzer OLAPcube

Hi All,

I am on the process of upgrading our database backend for Microsoft
Project Server 2003. Currently it is running on MS SQL 2000.

I have done the upgrade in our dev environment but is stucked with the
Analysis Services, When I am using Portfolio analyzer on the server
where the MOPS2003 is installed, I am able to access the cube
successfully. But if I run it on a client PC connected to the domain
where the server belongs to, I got the error that I am unable to
access the cube.

I have tried to setup a role in the Analysis Services with full
control access and added Everyone in the membership page of the role
and still the cube is inaccessible from client PCs. I also tried to
add Everyone to the Security page of the Analysis Server Properties
and the results are the same

Here is the system and version information that I have copied from our
server:

Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 9.00.3042.00
Microsoft Analysis Services Client Tools 2005.090.3042.00
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2000.086.3959.00
(srv03_sp2_rtm.070216-1710)
Microsoft MSXML 2.6 3.0 4.0 5.0 6.0
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0.3790.3959
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.50727.1433
Operating System 5.2.3790
Project Server 2003 with SP3

I appreciate for any help I can get from this forum.

thanks and best rgds,

Noynoy

Hello Noynoy,

Have you installed the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services 9.0 OLE
DB Provider This component allows your users who are accessing cube data to
query data stored within SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services. This component
can be downloaded from the Feature Pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 -
February 2007 (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=87078&clcid=0x409).

Hi Ben,

I have not installed anything. Should this be installed on all client
PCs or in the server where Project Server is installed?

rgds,

Noynoy
