Unable to access Outlook 2003

I have used Outlook 2003 for several years. Today, a problem has developed
that I am at a loss to resolve.

When I click on the Outlook icon to open the application, Outlook starts up
briefly, then just disappears. I have tried rebooting, but that does not
help.

I would appreciate any ideas on how to resolve this issue.

First up you should run Office's diagnostic tools to detect and repair
problems.
