UNABLE TO CHECK FOR UPDATES

Is seems like more and more people are starting to get
this problem with checking for updates on Microsoft's
http://office.microsoft.com update site. I'm with an
instituion and almost every PC that has service pack2 and
Office XP is having this issue. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!!!!!

True and not only for Office XP. Have the same problem with Office 2K
