Unable to close help

I'm unable to close the help window. The 3 colored dots are not there, using command-w closes the document window, the window can not be moved or minimized. I can resize the window. The only way I can get rid of it is to quit the program.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Are the coloured dots jammed under the main menu bar?
If so, welcome to the club. I lived like that for months thinking it
was the way it was supposed to be.

Here's the trick some kind person here told me.

Hop into Mac's system preferences È displays.
Change the resolution of the main display to something silly like
800*600
The windows will all juggle about and the Word help window's top bar
will peep shyly out from behind the menu bar.
Grab it with the mouse and wiggle it about.
Change the resolution back.
Done!
Mine had been there so long, it was yellowed from lack of sunlight.
