To All,

We are experiencing the following issue when attempting to “add/create†a new document on our MSP Web Access.

1. We access the MSP Web Access server, which is currently running MSP2002.
2. We have workstations that have Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, in addition to the server having the same level.
3. We create a new folder and when we attempt to click on the “new document†button we receive the following message;

“The New Document button requires a SharePoint compatible application and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater. To add a document to this document library. Click the Upload document button.â€

We are however still able to do “upload†documents. If anyone can offer any help/direction.

Thank you,

Frankie,

The message is referring to the requirement that you need Office 2003 installed in order to be able to create documents on the fly.

Yes, you will still be able to upload documents of any flavor using the upload features of the system.
