Unable to customize enterprise fields

I am unable to customize my enterprise fields. I'm not sure why I am
locked out. I tried logging in under another account "Administrator"
but came up with the same issue. Anyone have any recommendations on
what to do?

forgot to add : Project 2003 Prof and server. The Enterprise
attributes are greyed out as well as the toolbar across the lookup
tables.

are you sure of checking out the enterprise global? I guess am asking
a silly question, though, this is my first one to ask?
