I was "forced" to upgrade to Outlook 2002 which came with my new Casio
Pocket PC. (Of course as soon as doing so, I couldn't use my Word as my
email editor, no GOOD reason for sure, another ploy to force me to spend
more money with Microsoft, but that's ANOTHER complaint). After doing so,
I'm running in to funky issues with multiple invalid folders being shown
open, that when I click on them, get the helpful message "Unable to display
the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified folder
location". At first it was copies of my Archived folder, I have Outlook
configured to load the normal PST file and my Archive PST file. What I'll
get, usually after syncing and reloading Outlook, is something like this:
Archive Folder
Archive Folder
Archive Folder
Outlook Today [Todd's Outlook]
I figured out if I click on and find the valid Archive one, close it, exit &
reload Outlook, I'm fine. Today however, I am looking at:
Personal Folders
Personal Folders
Personal Folders
Personal Folders
Personal Folders
Outlook Today [Todd's Outlook]
and cannot load or close any of the Personal folders, all I get is the
error:
"Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the
specified folder location"
In the address bar, each has a different mysterious address, like this one:
outlook:FF00000038A1BB1005E5101AA1BB08002B2A56C20001279005D8FD205C4AA2B4FB5D

Real helpful.
Would like to know how to clean up my Outlook, and how to prevent the Pocket
PC from causing all this garbage, and why!
If you can help this frustrated user, please post and copy me in email. Much
appreciated.
