Unable to Display the Folder

I've had an interesting an perplexing problem and was
wondering if anyone could assist. I've googled plenty and
gone through the knowledge base, no answers.

On Win2kPro box had office 2k running with outlook 2k
connected to exchange 5.5 sp4 server. Everything OK.

Upgraded to Office XP Pro and now for some reason my
deleted items folder when clicking on the item under
folder list view shows on the right hand side, "unable to
display the folder".

Using another machine with outlook 2k, I log in as myself
and open my mailbox and can see the deleted items fine.
The permissions on the folder are fine. I can log in via
OWA and see my deleted items.

I proceeded to remove office xp completey, restart and
load again (all components). This did not resolve the
problem. Install sp1 and sp2 for office xp, still no joy.

I decided to setup a VPN between work and home and test
opening my mailbox from my local outlook xp (sp2), and low
and behold I still get the "Unable to display the folder."
message.

So the basic gist:
Windows XP, Outlook 2k can display the folder.
Windows XP, Outlook XP cannot display the folder.
Windows 2k, Outlook XP cannot display the folder.
OWA can display the folder.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
