unable to enter data in Outlook contacts large window

I am not able to enter data into the large field in the bottom right quadrant
of the Outlook Contacts record. Data entered fills properly into all of the
Name, Address, Phone, etc. fields, but not into the large blank field in
bottor right quadrant. Data entered there does not appear, but if I
"highlight" where I entered data there, it does visualize momentarily. HELP
