"Unable to establish a secure connection..."

I know this has been posted already. but there is one difference in this post
vs the other one. I am not running ssl on the server! And no one answered it
so I posting it again.

I am having the same issue now that i upgraded to Entourage 2008. We run our
own Exchange 2007 server and manage our DNS. I am still confused on the error
because we are not using SSL on the Exchange server. So why are we getting
the error? This is very frustrating. Does anyone have a solution? I saw the
post about installing a root cert but I don't know why i need that.

This usually indicates that you are *trying* to create a secure
connection. Have you tried unchecking the option to use SSL in Entourage?

Your details are pretty sparse. Are you connecting to an Exchange server
within your company or a hosted Exchange server on the Internet?

How do you connect? Via a direct back-end connection or a front-end
Outlook Web Access (OWA) connection?

Wasn't there a previous post from an MVP in response to a similar thread
here that essentially said your Exchange server isn't set up correctly? I
was looking for this thread earlier to send to our IT folks, but was unable
to find it.

For reference, the full text of the error message reads:
Unable to establish a secure connection to (yourservername).com because
the server name or IP address does not match the name or IP address on
the server's certificate.

If you continue, the information you view and send will be encrypted,
but will not be secure.

<CANCEL> <OK>

Any help would be appreciated.

This is fixed for most users, however some certificates are not set
correctly.
