Unable to Fix O XP Pro

B

bunch

All my O XP Pro programs worked until I recently installed a new hard drive.
Now, Office is slightly corrupted. Tried to repair and got "patch package
could not be opened" msg. Found and downloaded cleanup utility. Followed
directions to run the exe but I continue to receive the same message. Can't
repair, can't uninstall and my wife is not happy. Help!

Followed directions? Not likely. Running msicuu2.exe installs
the cleanup utility, but does not run the utility. Read the rest
of the instructions.

Thanks for your comments. I too, had not understood the fact that running
the msicuu2.exe file was just the installation of the clean up utility.
After actually running the utility and deleting the installer for Office XP
Pro, I was able to reinstall successfully.
