We've recently changed mail server, removing an Exchange 5.5 and installaing
Exchange 2003 on a new machine. We have also shifted all users and machines
into a new active directory domain.
We exported all accounts to PST files via Outlook 2000 with no errors noted.
When we come to import the PST files into client accounts - all Outlook 2000
again - the messages and folders import OK but Contacts folders give an error
that the user doesn't have permission to do this and stops the import. The
import was run by the original user who had admin rights on the PC.
Since discovering the failure to import we have also discovered that we
cannot add contacts directly - we get an error that at least one parameter is
missing (but no idea which).
We have exported the contacts to a CSV file and that imports without a
problem but we still cannot create new contacts
The user PC has not been ungraded or changed in any way that ought to effect
this.
Can anyone throw any light on this please ?
