Unable to install KB943290 patch to upgrade Works 9 to Office 2007

When I try to install this:

I get a message that reads: The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM
or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the 'Microsoft Works'
disc and click OK.

However, Works 9 came preinstalled on my HP TouchSmart 600. Can anyone
provide a solution?

Do you have a partition that holds the Installation files?

I'd expect a Drive D:\ in Windows Explorer that isn't a CD/DVD drive or USB
slot.

Contact HP for possible solution. Since it is an OEM install and Works is bundled
with the OS. The latter is the reason for your issue
