Unable to install Office 2003

I attempted to install office 2003 over my existing
office 2000. It was working fine until I got an error
message that I did not have permission to the
Hkey_Current_User folder for Excel. Previously when
trying to install Omnipage Pro I got a similar message.
I, and a computer professionl, have checked the registry
and I show permisssion for everything. Both programs
installed without a problem on my laptop. (Both machines
are P4s with Win XP Home).

Perhaps related, Office 2000 applications force me to
accept the EULA everytime I start them. I reinstalled and
it didn't help.

ARe you running as administrator when these errors occur? What happens if
you use Runas and then accept the EULA as admin?

I am running as administrator and all section of the
registry show I have permissions.

What is Runas? I don't know that one. If I am unable to
stop this EULA and I can't install Office 2003, then I
will have to switch to another Office Suite on this
machine.

I it seems to me that it is likely that the registry is
fouling me up. Could it be one of the Windows updates? I
have more of them on this machine than on the laptop.
