unable to install office 2007

hi there people,
I seem to be having quite a weird issue here, I'm tyring to install Office
2007 on my system and its a full retail copy of office 2007. when I try to
install the application, it goes to 1 green bar (progress bar) and starts to
roll back the installation.
At the end of the roll back it says Microsoft Office encountered an error
during setup ?!!? I have tried installing older copies of Microsoft Office ie
2003, 2000 and all of them works fine except for this 2007 version. This is
so frustrating.
I've tried renaming Office registry keys/folder, new windows account, remove
antivirus but nothing works.

Hi there porkribs..

Please goto start/run/ and type %temp%

In the temp dir you will have a log from the time you did your install. It
will be named somehting like officesetup.txt or msi23423.txt or something
like that..

It will contain the reason for the error. Please find it and paste it here
for us to evaluate.
