Unable to launch access

I have Office 2003. Suddenly, I can't launch Access. Word and Excel seem to
be ok. I just received some automatic security updates from MS and I'm
wondering if there's a connection.

I can't get updates from MS online. Their message offers several possible
reasons. I suspect the reason offered is the one saying Windows Installer
patch files (.MSP files) from previously applied Office updates are missing
from the \Windows\Installer hidden directory on my computer.

The MSACCESS.EXE file is showing on my directory.

Yes, if you mean the MSACESS.EXE file. I double clicked the Excel.exe and
WinWord.exe files and they launch the programs. But I get nothing with
Access.
