unable to login as anything but Admin

I've tried to follow the FAQ & Joan's instructions to the letter, but I
believe that the original System.mdw file is corrupt. I have had IT working
on the laptop my program is stored in and they think maybe they
"inadvertently" erased the original, since there were other System.mdw files
on there.

lnichols (me) is a member of admins and users group; I have ownership of all
objects. I have a PID and a password. I've assigned Admin a password, just
so that I could hopefully login as other than Admin - no go.

I am on a System6.mdw file now and getting more frustrated by the hour. How
can I log in as anyone other than admin???

Join the secured workgroup with the workgroup administrator. (Is it really
named System6.mdw? Most developers create a new workgroup file and name it
secure.mdw or the same as the mdb file so no one confuses it with the default
workgroup file.)

When you're prompted to log in (you only get prompted when the admin user has
a password set), change the user name from admin to lnichols and type your
password in the password box.
