Unable to open a ongoin project from Project

Hello
We use Project Server 2003 SP2.
One of our project suddently could not be opened: we get the error message
"your project servers's tracking setting was changed since you last saved
this project.. ". -- We have not changed any settings.
- It happens only with 1 project

What is the root cause?
Any idea to fix this issue other than restoring the project?

If the system absolutely prevents you from opening the project, then your
only chance is to delete it and then restore it from a backup. Refer to the
