Unable to open calendar items

My meetings do not open when I double click on them, nor can I "Accept" or
"Decline" anything.

Any suggestions?

At this stage I can only suggest you post the details that may enable an
answer:

version of Outlook
what exactly you are doing and what result you get (the exact error message
for example)
