Unable to open MS Word after latest Windows ME security downloads

Hi,

I am unable to open/operate MS WORD after downloading and
installing the recent Windows ME security upgrades that
the MS site suggested I install.

Other MS office programs (Powerpoint, etc..) are
operating fine.

Please help urgently.
