Unable to print from Word and Excel

I just installed a new printer (HP LaserJet 1012), and cannot print from Word
or Excel. I can print from other non-Office application. The error message
is:

The program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down.

The details say:

WINWORD caused an invalid page fault in module SD4.dll at 0001:00000414

Can you help?
