Unable to read file

[Lightly]

I've been working with an excel (2000) spreadsheet all morning. It is a very
large file. This time when I saved it, which I've been doing regularly, I
got a message that it was saved, but I would have to close the file and
reopen it to continue working on it. I closed the file, but when I try to
reopen it I get a message of "Unable to read file."

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it. See

Thanks for the reply, but we don't use Norton where I work.
