Unable to register relay server

I keep getting the following error when I install a Groove client "Groove was
unable to register relay or xmpp proxy (servername) .xx.xx.xx for account
(name)". I have tried reloading the registry key and the relay ID.cer but
have gotten zero results. The clients run but there if I sent a message to a
offline user and log-off the message never gets relayed to the user.
