I would like to change tracking setting from percentage of work complete to
hours work done per day. I make the change but the change is not committed.
Any ideas?

You must republish the assignments in the project by clicking Collaborate -
Publish - Republish Assignments and then clicking OK. Doing so will "push"
the new method of tracking progress to each user's timesheet in PWA. Do
know, however, that any in-progress tasks will not be affected by this
action, and will need to be completed using the previous method of tracking.
Only unstarted tasks will use the new method of tracking. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,

This did work as a work around. I don't seem to be able to make the changes
in PWA in the admin area. I selected hours per day and save changes, but the
changes do not get committed to the database. Would you have any additional
sugguestions?

In my previous reply, each project manager must open every project and
republish the assignments using Collaborate - Publish - Republish
Assignments. Did they actually do this step? If they don't, changing the
setting in the Admin area of PWA will only impact new projects. Hope this
helps.

Hi Dale,

We did follow your advice - PM opened every project and republish the
assignments using Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments. This works
for existing project. I am attempting to configure PWA for future projects.

The problem that I am trying to address is with the PWA administration. I
don't seem to be able to make the changes in PWA in the admin area. I
selected hours per day and save changes, but the changes do not get committed
to the database.

I also attempted to change a users group, but the changes did not get
committed after pressing "save changes". Could this be a SQL database issue?

This could be a rights issue. What account are you using? Have you checked
to make sure no one changed the Administrator Group Global permissions? Can
you perform the actions using the built-in Administrator account? (This last
one is important, because if yes, it would indicated the permissions are
screwed up in the Administrator's group.

Gary,

Thanks for the feedback. It appears that the administrator perminissions
are ok. You refer to a built-in Administrator account. Is this the
adminstration account accessed througt PWA?
