Unable to use dropdown menus

Each time I open a Microsoft Office XP application and select "Open", the box
opens and I select "Look In", the box shows "My Doucments" and when I select
the dropdown arrow, the only option that comes up is "Owner's Documents". It
does not show the rest of the directories. If I select Open, the application
hangs.

I'm having the exact same problem...I've downloaded all the updates, never
had this problem before...hope someone has an answer for us...
