unable to view an email on opening

I have a new computer and am using Outlook as my default email. I have a
problem where I can view an email in the reading pane, but when I actually
open the email it appears to be blank. Anyone tell me what I need to do to
be able to read emails on opening?

If that doesn't solve your issue, if you're using AVG for antivirus then
disable the integration with Outlook so it's not scanning incoming/outgoing
emails. This won't compromise your security since your real time scanner will
catch anything it's been updated for.
