These are not contacts that the user is creating but contacts listed in
Outlook public folders so all who have been granted access can see.
I have a user that cannot see any contacts that are list in public folders.
If that user creates a new contact in the public folders which everyone
granted access cans see. The user cannot see the contact that they just
created.
I have deleted the users local profile form the PC and roaming profile for
the domain.
Let them log back on to there PC, start outlook go to the public folders and
then the contact list and she can't see anything.
If I go to Public folders the to the contact list. The View>Current View>
and select any other view other then the default view of (Address Cards) then
the user can see all the contacts. If I select Detailed Address Cards, Phoe
list, By Category any of them you can see the info. But this is not what the
user wants, they want it set like evryone else (Address Cards). Does this
help with the problem that one does not work and the other views due?
I logged onto another PC to see if it was outlook (maybe the app was
corrupt) with the user profile and again went to public folders and she
cannot see any of the contacts listed just blank.
If I log onto the users PC or second PC I used to test to see if it was
Outlook I can see the contacts that are in the public folders. Along with the
one the user just creates and cannot see.
The user does have a Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC connected to her desktop as well.
I have found a few articles that refer to contact a user create for there
self but not one that is in Public folders (that talk about PDA not Sync or
using OST file). The user permission is as Owner the same as my admin account
and still know contacts.
This is bugging me or I should say my Manager is, in the most polite way she
can at least that is ok.
