I used to be able to do a search when I had Wind 98SE.
I have receently upgraded to XP Home, but still have Office 2000 Premium, so
cant understand why it wont work?!
In a folder, click on 'Open' dialogue box, then I used to be able to go to
'Tools' then 'Find' and enter criteria to a list which Word would 'find
files that match criteria' and I would type the criteria and add that
criteria to a list. Word would then find a particular file within that
folder for me.
property drop down list, click on 'contents'
condition 'includes'
value type the word then click on 'add to list'
then click on
'find now'
I would then be presented with the files that contained that word.
Now I get an error message :
'The filters required to perform this search could not be installed. The
search could not be completed as specified.'
Why not?!
How do I insall them please?
I found this a very useful facility in Word if I was looking for a file but
couldnt remember its name, I could just add a word or words I knew would be
in the file and up they would come.
Could someone please shed some light?
