I have a problem with Word that many other users appear to have. Text
"borrowed" from Eric's post about 1 month ago but I have the exact problem.
"We have changed the servers where we have our docs and dots. Previously
that
path to the templates looked something like this:
\\server1\blabla.dot
Now the name of the server has changed so it looks something like this:
\\server2\blabla.dot
The problem is that when you open a document it looks for the template in
the wrong (old) place and it takes *ages* to open the document. Any clues of
how to get around this?"
Someone mention there is a fix on Microsoft's Website. I can't find it. Can
anyone help me out. This has been an issue for us for many years. We have an
old server running just so Word files open correctly and timely. The server
needs to be removed. Please help.
