Uncooperative Updates

I don not have Office 2003 on my computer. In order to obtain a job, I
installed Word Reader, PowerPoint reader and Excell Reader. I no longer have
the job, and I have uninstalled the programs. Now, however, I keep getting
notifications of updates that won't install on my computer (big surprise).
Although I have repeatedly (5 times so far this morning) refused the update
and told the auto update program to not bother me again about these updates,
I keep getting notifications that updates are ready, and when I click on the
icon, there are the same updates I turned down just minutes ago. How do I
get this to stop?
