Underline in Word Table Cell?

J

James Pannozzi

Drawing an underline of a word in
a Word Table is no problem but
I want to draw an underline of a word and then extend the underline
until it goes about 3/4 of the way accross the cell.

Is there a way to do this?

ALSO, how do you draw an underline in a cell
if there is NO word there ? Again this underline should extend only about
3/4 the length of the cell.

Thanks
Jim

Hi James Pannozzi

This isn't a vba problem and would be better addressed to:
microsoft.public.word.docmanagement.

Anyway the answer is to set a tab stop where you want the underline to end with an
underline leader. Format>Tabs.

Peter, thanks.

I'm doing it from VBA and I use Word 2000.

So I just figure out the VBA to insert a TAB Stop, then underline the word
in the cell.
and the underline will extend itself to the TabStop?

Remarkable.

Thanks Again
Jim

You also need a tab character in the cell with the underline property.
