Underline question

I want to underline a word but have the underline about a half a line below
where it is normally. How do I do this?

Tough one. What if you "drew" the word and put it in as a .gif? I don't
think you can adjust where the underscore goes. Can you?

Probably with CSS (which I'm really just beginning to learn so I can't be
exact here)... but remember that an underlined word means a link to most
people.
