Underline vs underscore

Hi,

I need to draw a line underneath some text to extend it beyond the text.
PP does not allow me to underline spaces so I tried the underscore.
Unfortunately underline
and underscore looks very different together. How do I get around this
problem? Thanks.

Hi lc,
One way to force the drawing of trailing underlined spaces (or tabs): add
any character after the spaces, then change the colour of that character
to match whatever is beneath it (such as the background) so that it is
hidden.

There is a problem with this unfortunately. PowerPoint doesn't handle
text editing with mixed font colours very well, so you might experience
some difficulties seeing the text when you next edit it. This isn't
serious though, just change the colour of the last character back to what
it was whilst you edit.
