Unexpected error from external database driver (22)

Trying to export an Access query to Excel. Getting Access popup saying
unexpected error from external database driver (22) - using Access 2002 SP3.

Recreating the query fixed the issue. Changes had been made to some of the
fields and seems to have broken the query.
