I must be doing something wrong, but I have no idea what.
I'm trying to set the display color of a certain senders
email to red in the inbox.
If I create the following autoformatting rule:
From contains [email protected]
the result is that all mail from this address with a
display name aren't caught.
If I add
From contains John Doe
Every name with John Doe (including email addresses with
John Doe in the username field!) turns red!
I've seen some posts regarding this, but no satisfying
answers. An "Organize" feature that takes time to figure
out & then might behave flaky isn't much of an organize
feature. "Sorry Mr. Trump, I didn't catch that mega-
important email - did you use a Display name??" I can get
it to work by adding a category to the senders name, but
then it becomes ridiculous: add a category to an already
crowded category list, create a rule to add the category
to the mail, create an autoformat rule to add the color
to the contact.
There has to be a better way!
