"Ungroup" feature not working

I've used PowerPoint for years. But I'm stumped. I've
got a new laptop - XP Home, Office Professional 2002,
PowerPoint 2002.

Since I've had the computer, I haven't been able to
ungroup a set of images/text boxes once I've grouped them.

Any ideas?

With the group selected, can you use the keyboard shortcut Ctl + Shift + H ?
