uninstall and reinstall office 2007 without using additional lice.

I bought Office 2007 and install it on (3) threee computers (3 licenses came
with the program). If I was to replace one of my computers, how would I be
able to install Office 2007 on the new computer without having to buy another
program. Would uninstalling it from one of the old other computers free-up a
license?

I have a similar question. I bought Office 2007 and installed it on one
computer (device per the license agreement). I now want to uninstall Office
on that computer and reinstall on another (Item 15 Reassign to Another Device
section of the license agreement). I cannot determine from any of the Help
information exactly how to do this.

Quite frankly I find using this discussion group to get what should be a
simple straightforward answer is ridiculous and demonstrates MicroSoft's lack
of responsive customer service.

Hey Guys,

Yes, that would be how the licensing would work. If you are "transfering" a
license to another machine, you would have to uninstall it from the machine
that will not be using the license.

Once you install the Office on the new machine you want to use it, you will
have to contact the Microsoft Office Activation line 1- 888-652-2342, the
Internet Activation will not allow you to do so.

Thanks,

Max, I have a PC with a corrupted hard drive, bought a new PC, since I can't
uninstall, then I would call the 888 # to explain the issue during the new
installation?
Also, I have a laptop that if I remove Office 2007 from, will that open up a
license or when I install again, will still need to call in.
Thanks

1. You will need to call IF there is an activation problem.
2. "Uninstalls" are not "monitored", you will need to call IF there is
an activation problem.
