I'm taking over my husband's Compaq laptop that came with Office 2000 as an
OEM. I thought I could just uninstall that version and install my own with
my own number. But his keeps popping up asking for a password and saying it
can't find his profile.
Should I be changing things through regedit so the poor computer thinks
there never was an OEM version?
